Respect in Sport Policy

Sport Manitoba believes in being proactive in ensuring sport in our province is safe and welcoming for all participants. Respect in Sport helps us promote those values through a simple and convenient on-line training course for coaches and sport leaders. It is designed as a tool to assist coaches in identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying in sport. For the MSA Respect in Sport policy please click here.

To be registered with the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association coaches must have completed the Respect in Sport Online Course. Once completed, please submit the certification number to your district administrator or club convenor.

The Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) was created in 1982 to coordinate the operation of youth soccer within the City of Winnipeg and its surrounding areas. Through the assistance of its member organizations, WYSA has created and operates league structures for participants aged 9 to 18. WYSA currently operates a U9 - U18 Recreational League, U9 - U12 Developmental League, U13 - U17 Premier League, and an Indoor High School Soccer League. Additionally, WYSA offers other events every year such as the Boston Pizza Player's Tournament and the Golden Boy Indoor Soccer Tournament, along with the Mobile Mini Soccer Program.
