NSL Winnipeg Announces New Home Stadium

A HOME OF OUR OWN

Professional women’s soccer is coming to Winnipeg, and another exciting chapter in our city’s soccer history is beginning!

Winnipeg’s Northern Super League club will call a new purpose-built modular stadium at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex home. Designed with players, supporters and the broader soccer community in mind, the stadium will bring fans closer to the action and create a vibrant environment for professional soccer in our city.

With a capacity of approximately 5,000 spectators, the new facility will feature:

• A variety of seating options, including accessible seating, supporter areas, premium seating and suites;
• A standing terrace for supporters who want to cheer throughout the match and bring the energy;
• Covered seating and suites beneath a weather-protecting roof;
• Food and beverage services;
• New FIFA-grade turf, upgraded lighting and modern team facilities; and
• Purpose-built sightlines designed to put supporters close to the action.

This project is about much more than constructing a stadium. It will create a home for professional women’s soccer, a gathering place for supporters and a lasting community asset for players and families throughout Winnipeg.

The facility is part of co-founders Desiree Scott and Rob Gale’s vision to connect grassroots soccer with the professional game here in Winnipeg. In addition to hosting NSL Winnipeg matches, the new multi-use facility will support high-level competition, community soccer events and Winnipeg Soccer Federation programming.

The project is being supported through investments from the Government of Canada, Province of Manitoba, City of Winnipeg and the Northern Super League. The stadium is expected to be ready when Winnipeg begins play in the NSL in 2027.

For Winnipeg’s today's young players, and for generations to come, the dream of playing professional soccer will no longer feel a world way. They will be able to see it, believe in it, and pursue it right here at home!
