High School League Information

High School Competition Format

Teams will play 16-18 matches during the season, depending on the number of teams registered.

All matches will be played at the WSF Soccer South Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Road) and the WSF Soccer North Complex (770 Leila Avenue). Matches are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The High School League features two divisions for both the boys and girls competitions:

• Premiership     (A-Flight)
• Championship  (B-Flight)

The season begins with a round-robin schedule, with teams playing all opponents within their respective division.

Following the regular season, the top Championship teams will be promoted to the Premiership, while the bottom Premiership teams will be relegated to the Championship for the playoff round. The number of teams promoted and relegated may vary each season to create the most competitive divisions possible.

All teams will then compete in the playoff round, resulting in each team playing a total of 16-18 matches during the season.

At the conclusion of the playoff round, the top two teams in each group (Top two from Group A, and top two from Group B) will advance to the single-elimination semifinals, followed by the championship finals.

Teams should expect to play one to two matches per week. Every effort will be made to provide an even split of home and away matches; however, this cannot be guaranteed and will depend on registration numbers.

September 3, 2026:      Team Registration opens

September 25, 2026:    Soft Team Registration Deadline

October 2, 2026:           Player and Staff Registration Opens.   

October 2, 2026:           Team Registration deadline & deposit due

October 9, 2026:           Team rosters to be submitted to WYSA 

October 14, 2026:         Schedule Release Date

October 16, 2026:         Balance of team fees due

October 19, 2026:         Indoor High School Soccer season kick-off

December 18, 2026:      Last day of play before winter break

January 4, 2027:           Playoffs Begin

March 1, 2027:              Semi-final matches @ WSF North

March 5, 2027:              Finals matches @ WSF South
